A Healthy Smile Starts Here
Thank you for your interest in becoming a new patient of Nicole M. Armour, DMD at Armour Dentistry of Newtown. We're excited about the opportunity to work with you to improve your smile and your dental health. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding your care or would like to schedule a visit.
Your First Visit
Please bring completed health, patient information and HIPAA forms (download below) OR arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment to complete the forms in the office. If you know that you have recent x-rays from your previous dentist, you can also complete a records request form.
These forms can be returned to us by:
You will first be greeted by our friendly front desk staff who will provide you with necessary paperwork if you have not brought it with you. After being seated in one of our comfortable dental operatories, any indicated radiographs will be taken and your teeth will be gently and thoroughly cleaned by our skilled hygienist. Dr. Armour will then perform a comprehensive evaluation. You will be asked to share any of your questions, concerns, or treatment goals, and any limitations you may have. Together, you and Dr. Armour will then customize the appropriate treatment plan options that are best suited for you.
A single treatment plan cannot be applied to more than one patient's mouth. Extra time is invested into your personalized treatment plan with the goal of guiding you to excellent, maintainable oral health and prevent future issues.
When working on the human body, at times even the most carefully planned restoration or treatment can have complications. Dr. Armour encourages open communication and expedited management of any complications.
Oral - Head and Neck Cancer Screen
Biannually, or anytime upon request, at no additional charge. Dr. Armour was extensively trained through the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, in Boston, MA for oral and head and neck cancer identification.
Specialized Management of Medically Compromised Patients
Due to her training at Brigham and Women’s and Massachusetts General Hospitals, Dr. Armour has specialized expertise in the management of the medically compromised patient. She is comfortable communicating with your medical doctors whenever indicated in order to customize a safe dental treatment plan. She is experienced in the management of oral health in the context of systemic disease, medication, and other health limitations.
